Hi, my name is Shelly Boneh, I am an Industrial & Product designer, graduated with high honor from Bezalel Academy of Art and Design, Jerusalem, Israel. Currently studing master's degree in Industrial Design Research at the Technion (Israel Institute of Technology), Haifa. My thesis research is about 3D printed cermics and color for restoring coral reefs. I'm also working at the Technion's DesignTech lab, spceliazing in 3D printing techniques and underwater design.

For as long as I can remember, my ambition was to go to Art school and become a designer.

I started my formal arts studies at Thelma Yellin High School of the Arts and continued during my military service, which was directly related to design and working with a variety of materials. During my B.Des studies I spent one semster at MOME University in Budapest, Hungary.

I can truly say that arts and design are a central part of my life. I am inspired to work with different materials, to create designs using ideas from my imagination, using art and its balance with real life needs.

 

I am a sustainability enthusiast and trying to bring the world of sustainability into industrial design. My final project at Bezalel deals with restoration and planting of seagrass while creating an immediate marine habitat and a new tourist site.
