This project’s aim was to create a ceramic object inspired by the circus. It was created in MOME University in Budapest as a part of the student exchange program I participated in.

I created a series of porcelain plates made with a unique technique – CNC milling in a plaster mold into which the porcelain is poured.

The plates, which were inspired by the shape of a classic circus tent, are designed in a widening cone form, with a narrow base and thin edges. The plates can be compactly stacked but alternatively can create a tall totem pole.
