My goals were developing a dynamic seating system, one that can be altered between several states, a thought-provoking, interesting space which promotes playfulness and creativity in children while also inspiring a sense of pride to belong.

 

I was inspired by a common action of “Pushing the tables closer together”, to design a system of dynamic tables that pivot on an axis and create numerous variations – from individual work to small or large groups, complete clearing of the space or formation of a large collaborative table, in the style of a “Seder” table.

 

Additionally, compact stackable chairs made with plastic injection allow convenient storage without fixation to the floor.

This process included creating a well-lit open seating space in the front and a rest and storage space in the back as well as rebranding of the bus, a new logo and textile for the bus seats.
